HSCC Pre 80 Endurance Series gathers pace

General interest from competitors interested in racing in HSCC’s (Historic Sports Car Club) Pre 1980 Endurance Series is gathering pace as the clubs 2016 series has grown to four races, starting with the Donington Historic Festival which will be held this year over the weekend of the 30th April to 2nd May.

The series, which started last season, is being run by the club in partnership with Flavien and Vanessa Marçais and will include four mini-enduro races. The series now also incorporates the former Martini Trophy and is a great opportunity for owners of sports-racing, GT and Touring Cars of a type that raced internationally until the end of the 1979 season – not to be forgotten, pre 85 Sports 2000s will also have their own class. In its inaugural 2015 season, nearly 30 cars racing at Silverstone so 2016 with all this new interest promises to be an exciting year.

To date the 2016 meeting schedule includes:

Donington Historic Festival – 30th April to 2nd May
Silverstone Grand Prix – 21st & 22nd May
Brands Hatch Grand Prix – 1st to the 3rd July
Dijon Motors Cup (France) – 7th to 9th October
